A Company Needs To Be Customer Oriented If They Want To Experience Success

It was only after the World War 2 when being product-oriented became acceptable. This was where the companies would sell products that they thought the customer would want without doing any research. Doing research on customers allows the company to understand what the customers are lacking and what can be introduced to make things better. Instagram was started through vast research into the social media zone. The researchers discovered that on Facebook, the photo-sharing option was being used more often. So they took the idea and made an app out of it. They introduced filters and so many other ways of enhancing the pictures and allowed the users to share it with their friends, also known as followers.

The way the world is running now, a company is only able to find success and maintain it if they are following what their customers want. This means that they will have to keep up with their research process so that they can constantly make groundbreaking discoveries with their products. A company that is persistently changing itself to match its customers’ preferences will be the one that would stay on top. Take the Youtube of Shane Dawson for example. He is an original YouTuber who won the hearts of all those who followed him through his comedic and wholesome skits. He then switched to doing interviews, then vlogging, and now he is making profound documentaries that amass millions of views within hours. There have been many YouTubers that started alongside him that have been lost within the dust. Still, many of the new YouTubers even are able to experience a mere couple of months of fame before the viewers move onto something else. The reason why he is one of the few older YouTuber who is still able to remain in his audience’s good books is because of his ability to read his audience and grow with them.

A lot of the companies, especially the ones featuring more technical products and services think that they will be able to keep their loyal customers if they remain the same. But Parker Russell International is a clear example of how you need to be more customer-oriented to keep them around even if you do more of technical work. The international organization that houses different tax, audit, and advisory firms has been in the market since 2003. Started by Jason Parker and headquartered in London, the business was able to replace Deloitte Malaysia as an external auditor to 1Malaysia Development Bhd. Its vision and mission statements clearly state their will to do better for their customers and keep them satisfied by fulfilling their needs regarding tax and audit processes.
