Adam Morris — A Rising Star in the World of Property Development

Born in 1983, Adam Morris always had an interest in entrepreneurship and investments. He was fascinated with the concept of owning property, and always wanted to venture professionally into the field. Morris was born to Dr. Gordon Frederick Morris and Julie Ann Darcy in Calgary, Alberta. He studied economics at the University of Calgary before completing his Master’s in Business Administration in the United Kingdom

Armed with a quality education, he ventured into real estate development. Adam joined the family business, Homestyles Design Group and began overseeing numerous projects as the Project Manager. His interest in real estate investments began to grow until eventually, he became the Operations Executive of the company. He then started Darcy Builders, a spin-off of the company that focused primarily on real estate investments in the commercial sector.

Adam sold Darcy Builders in 2007 to his partners, just before the market was about to crash. From there, he went on a streak to create multiple successful business ventures, which helped establish him as one of the leaders in the space. He is currently the CEO of Copperblock Capital Inc., (formerly Homestyles Design Group) a company that specializes in investing money in the real estate market and has multiple projects spread throughout North America.

He basically rebranded the family business into Copperblock Capital Inc., which has a total investment value of around CAD 30 million. Most of his real estate investment projects center around the construction of sustainable properties. His company focuses on developing eco-friendly real estate projects, with many focusing on shipping container homes, infill houses as well as apartment complexes that are made using sustainable materials and are readily available for occupation.

The company rose to popularity for building Edmonton’s first shipping container home built for sale on the open market. Copperblock Capital Inc. is now one of the leading real estate investment developers that have established their place as one of the top companies in the industry. Under the experience and leadership of Adam Morris, the company has managed to grow from strength to strength to become a leading developer. On top of that, Morris also has also taken part in many philanthropic efforts over the years.
