Bob Aubrey — The Pioneer in Human Resource Development
Bob Aubrey is one of the biggest names in management that you might have never heard of. He is now pioneering the new field of human development in Asia. One of the global experts in corporate leadership and human resources, Bob has worked with many leading companies.
Bob Aubrey was born in 1948 in America. He graduated from Bishop Alemany High School in Los Angeles, California, and then did a Bachelor’s Degree in Philosophy and Psychology at the University of California at Santa Cruz. Aubrey then went to France and earned a Doctorate with Honors in Philosophy from the University of Paris, and later did an MBA at Neoma Management School in Reims.
He started his business career in 1983, working as an independent consultant at his own company, Bob Aubrey Consulting. The company specialized in offering human resources development, training, and creating development strategies for business schools. In time, companies began to realize that the services offered by Bob Aubrey Consulting had given provided them with global standards.
In 2002, Aubrey moved to China and taught the first courses in Personal Development at China’s top two universities, the University of Peking and Tsinghua University. From 2005 to 2010, Aubrey served as a Professor of Personal Development and Leadership at the Kedge Business School in France and taught their MBA course on the Shanghai Campus. During those years, he was visiting professor at universities and business schools in France, China, Australia and Singapore.
The year 2002 was a watershed in Bob Aubrey’s entrepreneurial career. He founded and served as the CEO of Metizo, a company specialized in personal development programs for companies and in higher education institutions. Bob’s work at Metizo is noted for creating the first personal development certifications and measuring the results of personal development. The company expanded to 5 offices in China, France, and Singapore before merging in 2011 with Mazars Consulting. From 2011 until 2014, Aubrey was global Practice Leader for People Development Consulting at Mazars.
In 2014, he created Bob Aubrey Associates in Singapore. The organization offers management consultancy services and designs learning programs. During that time, he continued to be a social entrepreneur. He created Human Resource Committee at the European Chamber of Commerce in Singapore where he serves as Chairman. He also founded and serves as the strategic advisor the ASEAN Human Development Organization (AHDO).
Bob Aubrey is a prolific contributor to the field of human development and has published 10 books to make this new field part of corporate management. Although recognized as a consultant for global companies like Apple, Volkswagen and SAP, Bob Aubrey is best known as a pioneer in the field of human development at work.
