Today, Mark will teach us the basics of business leadership and give important advice. Apply them in your business and you will see how soon you will notice the difference.
1. Visualize your company now and what it can become
Start your journey by reflecting on what kind of leader you are now and what leads you would like to be. This will be the way to realize possible mistakes you are making that hinder successful business leadership.
It may help to ask yourself some questions such as:
· Is my team motivated?
· Is my company moving without a clear direction?
· Am I a leader or am I a boss?
· How do I want my team to perceive me?
· What could I achieve by spreading my enthusiasm to my team?
How would my life improve, both personally and professionally, if I knew how to lead my company?
The answers to these questions should serve as motivation and as a starting point to begin your change. You should not feel frustrated with yourself for the mistakes you made, but see it as a way to start improving in the present and succeed in the future.
2. Be enthusiastic about achieving business goals
The second rule to be a good leader is essential: you must create hope in your team, give them expectations of a better future than the current reality. This is how you will provoke your passion in your team and they will want to fight to achieve the objectives.
To do this, as a leader, show your team a brighter way of seeing the world, with a positive and exciting attitude. Smile and make eye contact conveying security and confidence. This will give meaning to the work your team does. Never forget to have common sense and your priorities.
Do you recognize each member of your team for their contribution to the project, extolling their virtues, and minimizing those things that make you less funny?
The principles to follow in your leadership according to Mahatma Gandhi are:
· The honesty
· The job
· Patience
· The perseverance
· The loyalty
· The value
And the most important that is humility
The leader knows how to give pleasure to his team by working to achieve the objectives set.
3. Lead with your mind and lead with your heart
To make your business leadership a success, keep the promises you have made. Listen carefully and show empathy. We must master the art of knowing how to listen. How? Asking questions. Taking written notes. In other words, I think with my heart, keeping my promises and becoming an aggressive listener.
The leader must know how to value and praise the achievements of the team. You have to be friendly and well-mannered. I recommend you have small details with your team. And, above all, tell them the truth, inform them of the reality of the company.
4. Reward routinely and consistently recognize
Train your human team in the company. Remember that training means, taking people from where they are to where they want to be. You have to motivate your team and be patient when you are angry. You will save yourself having to ask for any forgiveness.
A thank you note to your staff is sure to be well received and appreciated. It is also a motivating factor. Just as you treat your employees, they will treat your customers.
It is also important not to reward everyone equally. The gift must be different depending on the person. Show empathy and understand what each member of your team needs at all times. Praise is free!
