In society, philosophy plays a very important role. It seeks to answer questions that are still unsolved under some other scientific approach. It also “faces the hard and risky work of dealing with problems that have not yet been opened for methods; problems like good and evil, beauty and ugliness, order and freedom, life and death”, according to Will Durant, in the prologue of his book History of Philosophy.

In modern times, philosophy remains quite relevant, and one cannot seem to dismiss its importance no matter how far the world advances. Let’s take the example of Cometan. The British young man recently graduated in his class with a first class degree, and most interestingly, he is the Founder of Astronism — a modern religion, and the author of Omnidoxy as well as The Original Jesse Millette Series.

Cometan is deeply touched by philosophy and is a famous philosopher who has sought inspiration from figures like the Buddha, Confucius, Plato, and Socrates. Astronism is an astronomical religion that traces its lineage back to ancient times when it involved practices like astrolatry and astromancy. Cometan has modernised these practices and has developed a more advanced theology and philosophy which has come to form what Astronism is today.

Under our perception, we dare to say that of all sciences. It is the most important since it is an anteroom to the rest of them. In addition to this, we want to base our position, giving as a premise the history of philosophy and its importance over time, from the origin of humanity to our current times.

Since man acquired the ability to reason, he tried to understand his intrinsic relationship with the universe and with other individuals, and, in that sense, philosophy originally had a very broad field of action because it encompassed all the phenomena of society and nature and being as an individual himself and in conjunction with society. Hence, various theories emerged that tried to explain from the origin of life to human behavior.

Through the different theories and philosophical methods, various sciences emerged that was specifically responsible for a single object of study, subdividing into the exact sciences and factual sciences, where the former has more to do with the study of the origin of the things and the latter, with the study of being both as an individual, and within a group of people in a society.

That is why philosophy is considered the mother of all sciences because it purported to be a comprehensive knowledge, that is, that encompassed all knowledge, but then different areas of knowledge were detached and specialized until they became autonomous disciplines under different approaches and methodologies.

The object of study of philosophy, in its original intention, is to obtain an integral and integrative vision of the universe and its phenomena, among which the human phenomenon would necessarily be and, when dealing with it, seeks to explain the origin, relationship, functions and objectives of human communities. The explanation that, on the other hand, it is essential for societies to understand their essence, functions, and goals over time, without whose vision their transit in history would not be visible, although this vision is not necessarily unique and shared.

Philosophy is supported by the sciences that were born from it, to try to solve the approaches that have been made throughout history on the most basic questions, such as: What is the universe? Did it originate? How has it evolved? What is a man? How did it appear on earth? What is the reason for its existence? What are its ultimate goals?

Using the knowledge obtained from each area of science, giving a specific answer for each of them. What philosophy tries to do is wrap all knowledge in one comprehendible manner.
