The Saha Method as Explained by Dr. Dhanonjoy Chandra Saha
Just recently, the National Aeronautics and Space Administration released a photograph of a black hole which prevails about a few trillion miles away from planet earth. The operation was carried out by a number of top scientists who played distinctive roles and employed their expert skills in undergoing the complex and extensive researches. Finally, after a yearlong effort, the world witnessed the first ever photograph of a black hole. This is the first time in history that a picture of an actual black hole can be seen.
The incredible milestone is a complete manifestation of hard work and diligence managed by the scientists who were at the backend supporting the project ensuring its seamlessness. Success in such a historically vital project was only possible for the experts of science due to their strong vision and the abundance of sacrifices they had made in the past. Not to forget, they would have faced failure many times before managing to achieve this milestone.
It is common for scientists to employ different advanced methods which are specially designed to perform a number of functions and help achieve specific objectives. NASA’s example is large and profound, but it is actually true for all the scientists who put forth different hypothesis in order to work on, and make historic breakthroughs in the industry. It helps them achieve projected results in their specific fields.
An excellent example in this regard can be of Dr. Dhanonjoy Chandra Saha, a research scientist, and professor who is also a veterinarian. Dr. Saha has a Ph.D. in Immunology and has served at New York Medical College as a Director of Research Information and Development. He is currently serving as a Research Professor of Medicine and Director of Office Grant Support at the Albert Einstein College of Medicine in the Bronx, NY.
He crafted a researched technique called the SAHA method, and it came about when he was employed as a Research Scientist at Rutgers University when he was just under 30 thirty years old. SAHA method is actually a staining technique in order to identify the fungus. This led to his groundbreaking discovery of Acremonium spp. Dr. Saha and his fellow researcher calls this a new species of endophytic fungus which was never before seen in North America.
Dr. Saha worked with his colleague Dr. Jennifer Johnson-Cicalese for the development of the SAHA method.
It is quite remarkable how this talented young man used his passion for going the extra mile in refining an innovative research technique which is now named after him. The Saha Method is highly regarded as a simple, safe and superiod method compared to other existing methods by other scientists and experts of this field.
